At Fresh Pond Dentistry in Cambridge, your custom plastic restorations will serve you for a short time while your permanent veneers are being made. If a veneer falls off, call our office and we will replace it immediately. Sensitivity to hot, cold, sweets and pressure is common.
Thing to Avoid:
Avoid brushing heavily on your temporary veneers and do not floss in between them.
Avoid chewing excessively on hard foods (Nuts,Ribs,Apples,Etc).
Things We Encourage:
Brush, floss and maintain regular six month cleanings.
Use a warm salt water rinse every 4 hours and following each and every meal.
What to Expect:
Your temporary teeth may feel bulky, rough, and can look crooked. Your teeth may appear slightly darker and may be susceptible to staining because the outer layer of your teeth has been removed.
Remember this is just a temporary stage and your new smile will be beautiful! Your teeth will be straight, smooth and the color that you have requested!
If all is followed, the healing time should be pain-free and a successful surgery can be guaranteed.
